North Carolina PAT
|
||||||||
Since the first North
Carolina PAT program was implemented in 1989, the NCPAT Network has grown
to over 80 programs with over 400 parent educators across the state. In
1991, North Carolina became a training site of the PAT National Center
and now has four national trainers. The flexibility of the PAT model allows
programs to be funded and sponsored in a variety of ways. In NC, PAT is
funded through local school systems, SmartStart, Head Start, Even Start,
and other local, private, state and federal grants. NC PAT is an affiliate of the International Parents as Teachers program. If you are interested in starting a PAT program in NC, contact , State Coordinator, for more information.
